“Host” refers to a user who lists and rents out accommodation through the platform.

“We/Us/Our” refers to Robala.africa.
2. Our Role
Robala.africa is an online booking platform that connects Guests with Hosts. We do not own, manage, or operate any listed properties. All bookings are agreements between Guests and Hosts directly, with Robala.africa acting as the facilitator.
3. User Eligibility
To use our platform, you must:

Be at least 18 years old.

Provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating an account.

Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in South Africa.
4. Booking & Payment

All prices displayed are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT (where applicable).

Bookings are confirmed only upon successful payment via our secure payment gateway.

Any additional fees (e.g., cleaning, security deposits) will be disclosed before payment.

Payments are processed on behalf of Hosts. Robala.africa is not responsible for currency exchange differences or bank charges.
5. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation and refund policies are set by the Host and displayed on each listing.

Guests must review and agree to the Host’s cancellation policy before booking.

Robala.africa will facilitate refunds where applicable, in accordance with the Host’s policy and the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
6. Host Responsibilities
By listing on Robala.africa, Hosts agree to:

Provide accurate descriptions, images, and pricing for their property.

Ensure the property meets health, safety, and cleanliness standards.

Honour confirmed bookings.

Comply with South African laws, including municipal regulations and tax requirements.
7. Guest Responsibilities
Guests agree to:

Provide accurate booking details.

Respect the Host’s property, rules, and check-in/check-out times.

Pay for any damages caused during their stay.
8. Service Fees

Robala.africa charges a service fee on each booking to support platform operations and customer support.

Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
9. Liability

Robala.africa is not liable for damages, losses, or disputes arising from a stay.

Hosts and Guests are solely responsible for their interactions and agreements.

Our liability is limited to the amount of service fees paid to us for the relevant booking.
10. Privacy & Data Protection
We collect and process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.
11. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute between a Guest and Host, Robala.africa will attempt to mediate, but final resolution is the responsibility of both parties.
12. Changes to Terms
Robala.africa may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
